A handful of WODs

What is it about heat and humidity that makes me feel a bit rotund?  Add hot flashes to the mix and you have one warm wonderwoman.  Dipping in the pool occasionally helps.  And I often pray to the electric fan god by humbly kneeling right in front of it and meditating (thank you for electricity, O God of the Fan).

Superman and I have tackled a handful of workouts this week.  My elbow-pits are so sore, I'm finding it difficult to reach for things (please pass the blueberries, would you, love?).

I have to hand it to Alex at Crossfit Mountain View.  He does a fantastic job with warm-ups before the WOD.  The old Crossfit adage, "our warmup is your workout," is well-represented there. :)

Q.  How can you tell if you're having a hot flash during a Crossfit workout?
A.  You can't.

Friday  (at Crossfit Mountain View)

6 min AMRAP:
10 KB swings (1.5 pood?  I don't remember what weight I used)
10 burpees

5 burpees short of completing 5 rounds

Saturday  (at Crossfit Mountain View)

4 rounds:
400m run
50 air squats

14:46

Tuesday  (at Crossfit Santa Clara)

800m run
40 push jerks @ 62 lbs.
100 jumping air squats
50 ring rows
50 KB swings (1.5 pood, I think)
800m run

24:00

Thursday (In honor of the Crossfit Games, a poolside workout made up by Superman)
4 rounds:
(Superman did pullups.  I couldn't reach the awning he was using, so I skipped them)
2 laps
5 burpees
10 air squats
20 jumprope singles (Superman did doubles.  No way was I doing double unders in my bare feet)
